The brief
The firm was renovating its Tokyo headquarters to modernise both the workspace and the technology behind it. Its meeting rooms needed a complete rethink of AV infrastructure, with video conferencing, audio and control tailored to the firm’s internal standards for user experience, security and functionality, and technology that blended into the design rather than overwhelming it.

What we did
Consistent video conferencing across every room
mtc provided consulting, hardware selection, full installation and commissioning across executive boardrooms, general-purpose meeting rooms and a multipurpose all-hands space. All meeting rooms were fitted with Cisco Webex Room Series endpoints. Because Webex was already part of the firm’s global conferencing environment, users get the same high-quality experience as in other offices, and mtc integrated the systems smoothly with minimal staff training required.
Scheduling and one-touch room control
Crestron Room Scheduling Panels outside each meeting space link to the client’s booking system, so staff can find and reserve rooms in real time. In more advanced spaces, a Crestron control processor automates common actions such as powering displays, adjusting lighting and switching room modes. mtc integrated these Crestron functions into the Cisco Webex Room Navigator panels, giving users control of lighting, audio levels and display modes from a single touch interface with no extra devices.
Hands-free, professional audio
In larger rooms, mtc deployed Shure Microflex Wireless microphones working with Shure IntelliMix P300 digital signal processors. The processors handle echo cancellation, gain control and audio mixing without user intervention, delivering clean, consistent sound for both in-room and remote participants.
Specialised spaces that adapt automatically
A movable partition lets the main boardroom operate as one large room or two smaller rooms. mtc designed the AV system to adjust automatically when the room is combined or divided, including microphone zoning, speaker output and video conferencing layouts. In the multipurpose room, an adaptive, automated audio system supports larger gatherings such as training sessions and hybrid town halls, adjusting to room usage and occupancy without manual tuning.
