What problems are you having?

Language barriers, local regulations, trades that will not line up. Most of what goes wrong on a Japan technology project is predictable. Pick the one that sounds like your situation.

Displays, conferencing and audio that are signed off before move-in, not chased afterwards.

Cabling, wireless, power and cooling designed for real use, then tested before the desks fill up.

Access control, cameras and visitor management designed to work with the landlord’s system, not beside it.

One programme across construction, electrical, audio-visual, IT and security, with one person accountable.

Routes, containment, fire stopping and certified test results, planned against the building’s drawings.

A recorded baseline, preventive work and escalation in both languages, by the team that knows the kit.

Why international companies choose mtc

We build long-term partnerships, not one-off installs. The approach is hands-on and transparent, and the work is done by our own team.

Why Choose mtc?

  • Recognised expertise. In 2025 our Project Director, Leon Appleby, was named a Crestron True Blue MVP, one of the first, for technical leadership in workplace technology.
  • Long relationships. We work the same way with clients, vendor partners and our own team.

Our Partners

We are vendor agnostic. We recommend the systems that best fit your requirements, budget and long-term support needs, then supply, install and support them with the leading IT, AV and security manufacturers below.

Yes. Most of our clients are international organisations with offices in Japan. Our bilingual team works with your global IT, facilities and workplace teams in English, and coordinates in Japanese with building management, landlords and local contractors, so nothing is lost between head office and site.

Yes. We regularly work to standards set by head office and adapt them to local requirements, from building regulations to equipment availability in Japan. Where a specified product is not sold here, we confirm this early and propose compatible alternatives that meet the same standard.

As early as possible, ideally before you sign a lease. Power and cooling capacity, backup power, network provider options, space for server rooms or studios, and access for large equipment can all affect which building and floor plan will work for you.

It depends on the product and manufacturer. We keep common items such as cabling materials, racks and accessories in stock, but many products are imported and local inventory is limited. Lead times of two to three months are typical for many items, so we plan procurement early in every project.

Yes. mtc is a licensed telecommunications construction contractor under Japan’s Construction Business Act (Kanagawa Governor Permit, General-6, No. 92487). We plan and deliver installation work in line with Japanese regulatory requirements, building rules and landlord conditions.

Our own in-house team. Everyone working on your project, from project managers to engineers, is a resident of Japan with a valid work status. You have one bilingual point of contact from design through to handover and ongoing support.
