Automate VX and Collab Compute
The leading Automate VX dealer in Japan
mtc is the leading Crestron Automate VX dealer in Japan. We have designed, installed and commissioned multiple Automate VX systems, and our own certified designers and engineers handle every part of each build, so clients deal with one team from design to handover.
Crestron requires the purchase of Remote Professional Services with each Automate VX system. The service supports the deployment remotely and validates the finished system. For Crestron Intelligent Video Certified Engineers (IVC-E) who deploy and validate the system themselves, buying it is optional, subject to verification by Crestron. mtc has two IVC-E engineers and one Crestron Masters Intelligent Video Engineer (CM-IVC-E), so we deploy, commission and validate Automate VX ourselves.
In 2026 we became the first dealer in Japan to deliver and commission spaces using both Crestron Collab Compute and the 1 Beyond IV-CAM-I12D camera system. What we had learned at Crestron Masters, Integrated Systems Europe and the Crestron Commercial Dealer Advisory Council meant a system that had only just been released went in smoothly.

Crestron True Blue MVP
At Crestron Masters 2025 in Madrid, Crestron named its first True Blue MVPs. Leon Appleby, Project Director at mtc, was one of six people recognised worldwide, and the only one from Asia Pacific.
The award recognises exceptional commitment to the Crestron True Blue community. For Leon, it followed years of Crestron training and of delivering Crestron systems for clients in Japan. Leon also holds the Crestron Masters Technology Architect credential.

Working towards Crestron Certified Programmer
A rare qualification in Japan, and one we are investing in.
- Two of our engineers have completed Advanced System Programming (CTI-P301), the last course on the Crestron programming track, and are preparing to qualify as full Crestron Certified Programmers.
- Japan has fewer than four Crestron Certified Programmers in the whole country today, a figure confirmed with Crestron.
- We already design, write, troubleshoot and support Crestron programming for our clients. Certification formally recognises that skill, at a level few engineers in Japan have reached.

mtc is a founding member of the Crestron Commercial Dealer Advisory Council, a group of commercial dealers that Crestron consults on its current products and on what comes next.
We bring the view from Japan to those discussions: how offices here are approved, built and fitted out, what Japanese and international users expect from a meeting room, and what it takes to support a system for years after handover. That feedback helps shape future features and product releases.
Crestron describes its dealer advisory council as dozens of dealers from around the world who meet at least quarterly, and credits their input with shaping new products such as the Crestron Cevo Mini Remote.

On recent projects, changes to the build of several spaces meant the Crestron Saros DM-NAX-IC4A-W speakers in the design had to be suspended as pendants. The DM-NAX-IC4A-W is a powered in-ceiling speaker that runs on PoE+ and takes its audio over the network through DM NAX, and it is made for flush ceiling mounting only.
Crestron Saros pendant speakers are all passive models, which would have meant separate amplification and a different audio design for those spaces. So we designed and produced our own ABS pendant cover for the in-ceiling speaker. It hangs safely as a pendant, keeps the same networked audio design in every space, and looks as if it was always meant to be there.
Creating custom solutions to the problems that come up in the normal course of a project is one of the defining skills of mtc.
