The brief
Known for high-impact campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands, the agency wanted a headquarters that reflected its creative identity, supported hybrid collaboration and kept technology out of sight. The move had to land on a fixed schedule, with international and local teams working in different languages and time zones.
Challenges
- A tight construction and relocation schedule with no room for delays
- An ambitious interior design where all infrastructure had to be concealed or integrated
- A global technical team with strict standards, spread across multiple time zones
- A local Japanese design and construction team with limited English proficiency
What we did
IT infrastructure built around the design
mtc was appointed lead partner for all IT and AV systems design, delivery and coordination. We designed and installed the full IT infrastructure, covering structured cabling, rack layout, network hardware and Wi-Fi, planned so that it supported the office without intruding on the interior concept.
Discreet AV for creative work
Across meeting rooms, creative workspaces and content review areas, mtc integrated AV using concealed displays, flush-mounted interfaces and low-profile control systems. We also deployed video conferencing and collaboration tools tailored to the agency’s creative workflows, so hybrid teams could work together without hardware dominating the space.
Bilingual coordination between global and local teams
Beyond installation, mtc was responsible for project-wide communication. We bridged the client’s global technical and workplace teams in the US, EU and Asia with local architects, builders and furniture suppliers in Japan, coordinating in real time so decisions were understood and carried out correctly on site.
Testing, handover and onboarding
mtc provided on-site support through testing, handover and staff onboarding, so the agency’s people could start using the new systems as soon as they moved in, with every IT and AV system fully operational from the first day.
Delivered in-house
Design, procurement, installation and handover were delivered by mtc’s in-house bilingual team, with one point of contact throughout.
