The brief
The office promotes trade, investment and business ties between Australia and Japan, and its move to central Tokyo was a chance to fix the network problems of its previous site. Poor Wi-Fi performance had been a persistent issue, and the client wanted a reliable, functional workplace with flexible meeting spaces, all within a tightly controlled budget.

What we did
Wireless designed and verified with Ekahau
mtc carried out a site assessment and designed the wireless access point layout using Ekahau for predictive planning. After installation, the team ran a second Ekahau survey to verify coverage, then confirmed the results with real-world testing. The aim was simple: full coverage and stable connectivity across the whole office, with no repeat of the problems the client had lived with before.
Network configuration with the client’s provider
Working closely with the client’s IT network provider, mtc helped design a resilient, high-performance network. Our team assisted with configuration and troubleshooting to optimise performance and eliminate interference and coverage gaps, keeping coordination smooth between all parties throughout the project.
Hybrid AV for multiple meeting spaces
mtc designed AV for several meeting spaces using a hybrid approach. Legacy displays and AV hardware from the previous office were reused where suitable, and new equipment was supplied to meet current needs. This kept spend under control without compromising functionality. mtc then handled on-site installation, configuration and user training so staff could move into the new environment with confidence.
