The brief
The client serves leading technology, financial and consumer brands with stringent IT, security and compliance requirements. To support growth in Japan, it needed an additional floor at its Tokyo headquarters and a new two-floor office in central Fukuoka, its first major regional location in Kyushu. Both projects ran simultaneously, with overlapping design, procurement and installation windows.

- No reliable CAD drawings or digital floor plans for the Fukuoka building
- Low dropped ceilings, shallow 50mm raised flooring and limited existing MEP infrastructure
What we did
Tokyo headquarters expansion
mtc fitted out an additional full floor in the existing building with more than 200 new workstations, 15 video conferencing rooms built to the client’s global AV standard, and a centralised office-wide paging system. Access control and CCTV were deployed in line with global IT and security policy. mtc worked with the appointed designer so all hardware and finishes met branding and quality standards, and matched existing infrastructure while upgrading it for better reliability.
Fukuoka office build-out
In central Fukuoka, mtc designed and installed structured cabling and network racks, 15 meeting rooms with video conferencing to the global AV standard, site-wide paging and announcement systems, card-based access control and IP CCTV for a 400+ seat office. With no reliable drawings, low ceilings and shallow raised floors, cable routes were carefully planned to avoid power conflicts and ceiling obstructions, and mtc coordinated with the MEP teams to secure cooling and power for the server room and AV equipment.
Parallel delivery and legacy AV recovery
To hold the five-month timeline, mtc accelerated design finalisation, secured global stakeholder approvals and prioritised procurement by lead time. As the Japan-based lead integrator, mtc provided clear documentation and bilingual communication, worked flexible hours across time zones and guided local vendors on international expectations. In Tokyo, mtc also assessed, troubleshot and updated the older meeting rooms, bringing them all back online while delivering the new floor to specification.
