The challenge
The interior design left no room for visible infrastructure
The agency is known for campaigns for some of the biggest brands in the world. It wanted a headquarters that reflected its creative identity, supported hybrid collaboration and kept technology out of sight, and the move had to land on a fixed schedule.
Key challenges
- A tight construction and relocation schedule with no room for delays
- An ambitious interior design where all infrastructure had to be concealed or integrated
- A global technical team with strict standards, spread across multiple time zones
- A local Japanese design and construction team with limited English proficiency
Our role
Technology was planned to stay out of sight
The IT infrastructure was laid out around the interior design
mtc was appointed lead partner for all IT and AV systems design, delivery and coordination. mtc designed and installed the IT infrastructure, covering structured cabling, rack layout, network hardware and Wi-Fi, and planned it to support the office without intruding on the interior concept.
AV used concealed displays, flush-mounted interfaces and low-profile controls
Across meeting rooms, creative workspaces and content review areas, mtc integrated the AV. mtc also deployed video conferencing and collaboration tools tailored to the creative workflows of the agency, so hybrid teams could work together without hardware dominating the space.
One bilingual team connected the global teams and the Japanese site
Beyond installation, mtc was responsible for project-wide communication. mtc connected the global technical and workplace teams in the US, EU and Asia with local architects, builders and furniture suppliers in Japan, coordinating in real time so decisions were understood and carried out correctly on site.
mtc stayed on site through testing, handover and onboarding
mtc provided on-site support through testing and handover, and onboarded agency staff to the new IT and AV systems so they could use them as soon as they moved in.
