Helping You Achieve New Milestones

Purpose and scope

This statement explains how mtc approaches accessibility on its English-language website, the standards we are working towards, known limitations, and how to contact us if you have difficulty using the site or need information in another format.

Effective 1 October 2026. Last reviewed 19 September 2026. Policy owner: Leon Appleby, Representative Director, mtc K.K. (株式会社エム・ティー・シー).

1. Our commitment

mtc (株式会社エム・ティー・シー, mtc K.K.) wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation.

We treat accessibility as ongoing work. We improve the site over time and welcome feedback on anything that makes it harder to use.

2. Standards we use

In Japan, the national standard for web accessibility is JIS X 8341-3:2016. It is identical to ISO/IEC 40500:2012, which is WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), and uses the same Level A, AA and AAA success criteria.

WCAG 2.2 was adopted as ISO/IEC 40500:2025 in October 2025, and a revision of JIS X 8341-3 aligned with WCAG 2.2 is in preparation and expected to be published in the near future. Until then, JIS X 8341-3:2016 remains the current Japanese standard.

Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which includes and extends the requirements of JIS X 8341-3:2016 Level AA.

3. Conformance status

This website has been designed with consideration for JIS X 8341-3:2016 Level AA (配慮, as defined in the compliance guideline published by the Web Accessibility Infrastructure Committee (WAIC)), with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our target.

The website has not yet been formally tested against JIS X 8341-3:2016 or WCAG 2.2. We therefore do not claim conformance (準拠) or partial conformance (一部準拠) with either standard. If we carry out a formal test in future, we will update this statement.

4. Scope

This statement applies to the English-language mtc website, including its pages, navigation, contact form and downloadable documents linked from it.

It does not cover third-party websites that we link to, or third-party content embedded in our pages, which is controlled by its providers. Where we rely on third-party content, we try to provide the same key information in another form.

5. Known limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them.

  • Logo carousels: some pages show client and partner logos in auto-scrolling carousels. Each carousel now has a pause button, and motion stops automatically when your device or browser is set to reduce motion.
  • Embedded Google Map: our office location is shown using an embedded Google Map, which is third-party content and may not be fully accessible with all assistive technologies. Our full address is also provided as text on the website and in this statement.
  • PDF documents: any PDF documents on the website may not fully meet the standards above. If you have difficulty with a PDF, please contact us and we will provide the information in another format.

6. Feedback and alternative formats

Please tell us if you have difficulty using any part of this website, or if you need information from it in another format, such as plain text, a larger print version, or a telephone explanation.

Under the Act for Eliminating Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (障害者差別解消法), as amended with effect from 1 April 2024, businesses in Japan must provide reasonable accommodation when a person with a disability asks for it. We will consider each request carefully and, where reasonable, provide the information or service in a way that works for you. If we cannot meet a request in the form asked, we will explain why and discuss alternatives with you.

7. Technical specifications

The accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies working with your web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your device: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript.

8. Assessment approach

mtc has assessed the accessibility of this website by self-evaluation. No independent or formal test to JIS X 8341-3:2016 Annex JB has been carried out to date.

9. Review of this statement

This statement is owned by the Representative Director. We will review it at least once a year, and sooner if we make significant changes to the website or when the revised JIS X 8341-3 aligned with WCAG 2.2 is published.

This statement was first prepared on 12 June 2026. Effective and last updated: 1 October 2026.
